Social Value Creation

A portion of sales from customers will be donated to the Outdoor Environmental Protection Fund of the Conservation Alliance Japan (CAJ), a general incorporated association, to support organizations working to protect, maintain, and promote outdoor activities, thereby contributing to environmental protection.

In order to encourage many people to be interested in the protection and coexistence of nature and wild birds, we provide opportunities to observe and photograph nature and wild birds with OM SYSTEM cameras and binoculars, in cooperation with local governments, activist groups, and birdwatching facilities. Through these activities, we aim to realize a sustainable society by raising awareness about improving manners to protect nature and wild bird habitats.
In 2023, we signed a partnership agreement with Izumi City, Kagoshima Prefecture on wild birds, and are expanding the scope of our activities.

For customers who take pictures with OM SYSTEM cameras and lenses, we are working to ensure that our products are patronized for a longer period of time through repair and service.
For example, if you use the inspection and maintenance program, you can quickly repair the product in the unlikely event that it breaks down, reducing the loss of shooting opportunities as much as possible and allowing you to enjoy shooting with peace of mind in various environments such as outdoors.
Cameras and lenses that are important to customers can be used longer by taking care of them themselves. To help with this, we also hold maintenance seminars.
Before purchasing a product, we also offer a program that allows you to take a trial shot before purchasing so that you can choose from a wide variety of interchangeable lenses that you really want.
In addition to the above, we are implementing initiatives to reduce environmental impact and ensure long-term use of products through various approaches, such as removing parts from collected products and recycling them.

We provide products that have passed harsh environmental resistance and durability tests so that our customers can use our products with peace of mind for a longer period of time.
For single-lens lenses, the use of Micro Four Thirds-standard sensors reduces the size and weight of the entire system. This reduces the amount of raw materials used and contributes to the reduction of energy in logistics.
In addition, we aim to reduce our environmental impact by using some recyclable materials for our products and packaging, and by considering the use of recycled materials.
