Based on these conditions, we have created value through optimal combinations that look at the whole rather than pursuing individual technologies alone. For example, the concept of edge AI, in which devices make autonomous decisions and processing in the field, high-density packaging that supports small and light weight, waterproofing, and dustproof and splashproof technologies that can be used safely in various environments are examples. By looking at the operating environment from the design stage, we achieve reliable performance even under harsh conditions.

Over the course of our 90 years of developing cameras, we have continued to refine our optical technology in pursuit of how to achieve images that accurately support the user's intentions and expression.
In addition to the optical design and precision processing technologies we have cultivated over many years, we leverage our strengths in "matching technologies" that closely link design, parts, and adjustment equipment to achieve both high optical performance and mass production.
Furthermore, by integrating the optical performance, mechanism, sensor, and production process into our design, we have achieved practical performance that goes beyond catalog specifications. In order to maximize the performance of optics and digital in a product, precise and stable movement is essential. Rather than optimizing mechanism design, control design, and embedded software individually, we have improved the overall product quality by designing them together based on their relationship with each other. One example that embodies this idea is OM SYSTEM's Image Stabilization technology. By accurately detecting minute shaking that occurs during photography and compensating for it by closely linking the mechanism and control, it demonstrates stable performance even under severe conditions. This technology of "precise control of movement" can be applied not only to cameras but also to various devices and applications. By repeatedly simulating and verifying actual equipment for usage scenarios, we are refining accuracy, durability, and responsiveness to support mechatronics technology that continues to move reliably in the field.

Digital processing of images and sounds is an area that is difficult to be aware of, but it can greatly affect the quality of the experience. We emphasize providing experiences that naturally convey value, and while utilizing the knowledge we have cultivated through the product development of digital cameras and IC recorders, we consistently optimize the entire process from shooting to recording and playback through processing design linked to sensor characteristics and controls.
One example is the computational photography that OM SYSTEM incorporates. With just a shutter operation, advanced processing such as digital image synthesis can be performed immediately, allowing for a wider range of expression.
This accumulation of digital processing technology is not limited to our own products, but also as image sensing technology, including optics, lighting, and image analysis, and is the foundation of our solution business.
