Featuring a unique L-shaped body
The first model in the L series, the L-1, featured a high-performance 4x zoom lens using ED lenses. The L-shaped body was made possible by a unique layout in which the wound film was housed in a box on the back cover. Developing the film winding mechanism posed many challenges, including ensuring reliable loading and reducing stress when winding the film, but the solution was finally achieved thanks to the tireless efforts of our engineers. Another notable feature was the well-balanced position of the grip, which minimizes camera shake and allows for a stable grip. Subsequently, the camera evolved into the L-2 with enhanced functionality.
