Adopting TTL direct metering
Controlling exposure during shooting
The "OM-2" is an AE machine with an electronically controlled shutter with aperture priority. As a photometric mechanism, TTL direct photometering was adopted for the first time in the world to measure reflected light on the film surface. This allows exposure control during shooting and realizes TTL strobe auto-dimming using a dedicated strobe. For the practical application of TTL direct metering, 35mm format films from all over the world were collected, and the reflectivity of each film was measured to determine the optimal printing density of the shutter screen.
